despite everything that sucks, this week has been lovely, because
(for sandthistle, but it can't hurt, right?)
1. I heard odd noises from the bathroom and investigated to discover Pip was brushing his teeth, on his own, correctly. Even down to rinsing the brush in the sink (of course, he was using my toothbrush, no wonder I get all of his colds).
2. kightp has confirmed that she'll be up and visiting and free for a day of yarn with us next week. Yay!
3. I made cafe au lait for the first time in years and it was delicious and didn't make my blood pressure soar like coffee often does.
4. The horror of NOLA has finally made the news media wake up from the catatonic stupor they've been in for years, and they're starting to ask real questions rather than accept the platitudes they've been fed for so long.
5. tashabear is still safe, despite being over in that other Gulf.
6. We are going car shopping this afternoon to finally replace one of the failing vehicles. I hope we get a used Prius.
7. Pip singing "Teddy Bears' Picnic."
8. My friends are so incredibly supportive. It makes me cry. In a good way.
