The Fortune Cookie Strikes Back
Today Youngest Sib and I went to a local Chinese buffet to stuff our faces in honor of our Grandmother's birthday. (It's a Chinese thing to eat a lot to celebrate family events, even better if there's lots of seafood available.)
Now, I like fortune cookies because you never know what you're going get -- it could be a pithy quote or saying, or some general nicety meant to help one look on the bright side of life, or even an actual stab at predicting a random Chinese restaurant patron's future. Most memorable of the predictions I've received is one slip that told me, You and your wife will be very happy. It was unusually specific but unfortunately not applicable to me. Too bad some other lucky guy or girl didn't get it.
The one I received today is definitely the most bizarre though:
The rubber bands are heading in the right direction.
WTF?
