Yay!
For the first time since I've been able to vote, I feel positively excited about our next President. Florida pleasantly surprised me by going blue last night. (Stupid Proposition 2 was passed but I suppose you win some, you lose some and it's certainly not the end of that issue.) McCain restored a good amount of my respect for him with his gracious, even heartfelt speech that emphasized unity. (Ick! on Palin being a new political figure with a future though.) Obama struck just the right tone in his speech -- humble but strong, somber but hopeful, and just a little bit funny in a nod to his family. I'm not religious, but I hope the Universe helps Obama fulfill his and America's potential.
