late again naturally - I liked Iron Man
I saw Iron Man the week it came out, and was so impressed that I went to see it a second time. Why can't more superhero movies be this serious, funny, and relevant all at the same time? I agreed with the critics that the climax actually felt a bit underwhelming compared to Tony Stark's big escape in the first half of the film, yet this still managed to be a well-balanced action film.
(One inappropriate thought: When I first saw Stark's glowing power ring on his chest, I thought, Hey, Tony. 'N Sync called -- they want their BeDazzler back. Thankfully I moved past that fairly quickly.)
I guess I just had to do a 'film review' this late because of all the superhero flicks being released this summer. The Hulk looked promising but it didn't seem to have many positive reviews. The Dark Knight looks interesting but I haven't even seen Batman Begins. I'm sort of afraid of how Watchmen will turn out -- how do you turn such a complicated epic comic into a 2 hour film that makes sense?
