Sooo busy at work lately. Enough overtime that I basically worked an extra couple of days, I think. The good news is that today the mad rush seems to have finally ended. NO sneaking into the office this weekend, yay.
However, I do have a couple of proofreading projects to finish before Monday. One is 4 pages total, the other is 25. D'oh! Why didn't I start reviewing them earlier in the week? I know I should have, but I've been so tired after work. Well, nothing to do for it except to buckle down and carry on. It's my holiday money. (Note to self: start packing lunch again, you're not made of money. :-P)
It's been months since I've been to the mall. I should just go to take a look around, so I'm not completely out of touch with the rest of consumer-dom. Besides, I still need to buy something for a holiday gift exchange at work. It's probably not a bad idea to have spare backup gifts stashed in my desk too. And I don't have any holiday decorations for home or the office, so I need to buy some at the Wal-Mart or something. *pout*
Ahhhh, I haven't compiled my holiday card list yet either. So many things to do, no wonder this time of year stresses people out. And yet, the twinkling lights, shiny tinsel, bright wrapping paper, cold clear nights, random strangers' smiles, and pumpkin spice are a special bonus that help even things out.
I almost forgot to mention tea. I've been on a crazy tea jag lately. I now have green tea, black chai tea, decaf chai tea, rooibos tea, and something called the "tension tamer" in my supply.
*sigh* I was just looking at my default icon and thinking of how "outdated" it is now. Yes, yes, I sound like a broken record. Sorry. I'm still annoyed at what TPTB did, utterly screwing with something that wasn't broken to begin with. So, I guess that makes my default icon a rebelliously fannish icon.
*double-take* Heeeey! Joe Flanigan was on Women's Murder Club tonight, at the very end of the episode. I'd read a con report a few days ago in which he mentioned it.
