De-Troit, Bas-Ket-Ball!!!

Now, I have never been a big sports person, growing up the only sporting events I watched was Nascar and UofM Football. And I definitely havent been a basketball person in the past. Rob can back me up on this one, a year and a half ago, we went to the Palace for a David Bowie concert, (which, by the way, fuckin ROCKED!) and when we saw a sign for the Pistons, I honestly couldn't remember what sport they play. *Cringes in fear of projectile weaponry* Let me tell you, there were some very confused Amnesty International people that night. And I still maintain that the Pistons would be a great name for the Detroit Water Ballet team. But, I digress.

The point I'm trying to get to is, this season, I started paying attention. Now, I'm not saying I know all about basketball, but I comprehend that the Pistons rock. I know that when the Pistons have the ball and make that fun lil swooshing sound as the ball slides through the net, SCORE! And that we are supposed to be playing monkey in the middle or some shit to keep the ball away from S-A. And I know that Ginobili can eat my shorts. Man, I hate that guy! I just wanna smack that attitude off him.

Anyway, Sunday, me and my crew were hanging up at the Stick for the game, and the very evil, Pistons-wearing, contrary little waitress said mid-way through the fourth, "The Pistons are gonna lose" Little snothead called it on that one. Then she took it further after that one point (one freaking point!!! oh, man....) and said "No, not just they are gonna lose tonight, but on tuesday too. We have alerady lost the series." Gotta tell you, honey didnt make many friends.

Tonight, the crowd was wild at the end of fourth. And not only did I get to rub it in the girl's face that she was wrong, but there was an honest-to-goodness Spurs fan in the midst of us, sporting his gear to the fullest. Man got hella trouble for it too.

Anyways, the game tonight freakin rocked, I hope you caught it, and if you didn't, then man oh man, I sure hope you got Tivo.

Man, I love basketball....
