Today looks like spring.
I'm not sure it feels like spring, but it looks like spring, and with the sad-angry-deprived-peasant show over I'm feeling happy and peaceful and empowered.
I've started over and over and over with the weight loss 600 times since last summer when I finally sat down to just DO IT. Today is my 601 Do-Over, and I'm sitting down to just DO IT.
I think the go-gettum has a lot to do with the weather. It seems doable. It hasn't seemed doable till right now this minute today. I'm going to get my bike fixed and I'm going to bike to work again sometimes, even though it's literally uphill both ways and biking uphill scares me (because I am a PANSY weakling). I'm going to work out at least an hour a day, which will be a change from last summer. I did pretty well-- 3-4 times per week-- but I'm going to be focused and aim for 6 days a week this go around. Those extra few hours (on top of the bike riding) should hopefully get me going in the right direction. I can also ride to the rec center with Ames, once we get his bike fixed too. I'm feeling better and better about this.
I'm also going to bribe motivate myself with a number of material rewards that I will keep in my journal and by my desk at all times to keep me going and reach for those next few pounds every time I reach a goal.
Material Rewards for Mental and Physical Wellness
-5lbs: facial
-11lbs: hair cut/color
-16lbs: Wii Fit Plus
-19lbs: new jeans
-22lbs: a shabby apple dress
-25lbs: my Esther Williams bathing suit
I'm hoping to get that facial next week. Eat it, 5lbs. Goodbye to you FOREVER.
My show opens in 8 weeks. I fully plan to have pretty skin, new hair, and be well on my way to having a Wii Fit Plus in my possession by then.
The show closes July 23. My costumes will be HANGING OFF ME by then. Eff yes.
