I did grown-up things this week, you guys. Like, I had my first Grown-Up-And-Married holiday-- Ames's folks came down for Thanksgiving dinner with my family since it was just the two of them. I'm not sure how Christmas is going to go, since my parents aren't going out of town anymore as planned, but we'll figure it, I guess. We made it through the first holiday.
I also (finally) got a new driver's license, which proudly reads BELL, EMILY LLEWELLYN and bears a picture of me that is now current, and not six years old. My old picture was so cheesy and screamed "I'M 16 AND CAN DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!", which is what it looked like. Now I look grown up, and perhaps a little rounder around the face than I'd like, but whatev. It's how the world sees me, and it's how Ames married me, so whatev.
OMG YOU GUYS I JUST GOT A CALL FROM THE UVU THEATER DEPARTMENT RIGHT NOW AS I WAS TYPING THIS THEY WANT TO INTERVIEW ME FOR THAT JOB TOMORROWTOMORROWTOMORROW.
Praise.
The Lord.
Almighty.
I'm going to pretend that I don't want this job as badly as I do. I do want it, and I want it badly, but I'm pretending like I don't so that I don't get my hopes up too high. omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg.
Okay. Anyway. So driver's license. We also got a credit card this week. Neither Ames or I have had a credit card before, so this is a kind of big deal. There's only a $500 limit, but I feel really good and much more comfortable about having one at least, especially given the uncertainty of my employment. But I mean-- I've never had a credit card. So I've Grown Up a little bit.
Yesterday at church, Ames expressed his overwhelming desire to have a baby that he had right in the middle of sacrament meeting (directly followed by an overwhelming NOT RIGHT NOW DON'T PUSH YOUR LUCK feeling, so don't you worry about it, everybody), but at least then it gave us something to do during Sunday School, making name suggestions. I've got my girls all picked out (Penelope, Minnie, Charlotte) but we don't arrive at male conclusions. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it (in years and years and not yet, thank you).
So there it is. I'm a grown up. Also I write boring things on lj. Check my blog.
