My evening in hell.
Went to the Something Positive meet and greet tonight. I almost forgot, actually. Well, I did forget, and was reminded when I went to see if he'd put a new comic up. It was fun, not as crowded as I'd feared, and Randy is adorable and charming and drew me a picture of Aubrey spitting out coffee, and a special present for frelghra, even though he didn't answer his phone when I called him. :P But man, being in line with the most self-righteous geeks in the universe sure got old fast. The chick behind me kept referring to it as "Scummerville," which, seeing as how Randy lives here too, doesn't seem like the best idea. Also, I like it here, bitch. You're very clever, stop bragging about living in Cambridge. I don't want to have a conversation with you. Yes, Simmons is a bit of a commute from here, but it's really no reason for you to snort and make disparaging remarks about the green line. Why is it cool to hate everything? God. Also, I don't really want to hear you talk to the guy behind you about how you were on the lj abuse team for years. I don't want to hear about how this meant you had to convince 16 year-olds not to post pics of their boobies. Please, stop talking about the kiddy porn abuses now. Oh dear lord, my ears! Oh, that's better, now she's dissing Manray, so I guess it's good that eclecticavatar didn't come with me.
Really, Randy was very sweet. I just feel bad that he has to deal with some of his fans.
Edit: I almost forgot, part of the conversation between the Bitch Who Hates Everything and the guy behind her was about why they like S*P so much. Like, it's consistently funny (yeah, but have you noticed that the end of every year is incredibly depressing?), and unlike other webcomics, like Diesel Sweeties, it's not so autobiographical and doesn't depend on wether or not Randy's girlfriend is being nice to him. Riiiight. There's nothing autobiographical about S*P, it's not largely based on real people, and Randy hasn't expressly said that a lot of the stuff is based on his life. So yeah, I have no idea where she got that one from. 'Cause, you know, she's wrong. 'k I'm done now.
