I miss first dates! In lieu of having any more first dates anytime soon, I would like to live vicariously through you!

Please share with me a story of a first (or whenever!) date that was most memorable to you.

That is so adorable. I also bring knitting out to be places when I am nervous!

I knit insanely fast when I'm nervous. But my stitches end up a bit smaller, too!

Do you knit continental? I need to sit down with someone and learn that way because english knitting is so slow!

I know it well enough to teach people to knit that way, but I find it really awkward (especially purling), so I don't knit that way generally.

It's handy to know the basics for fair isle though...I've done one tiny thing in fair isle, and let me tell you: don't do it on dpns. You spend more time untangling yarn than knitting, and it's almost impossible to get the "floats" long enough!
