I thought I'd be okay. I know I'll have more students, but these are my first. Getting a real Christmas card in the mail at my house from a student with such a heartfelt letter from his mother included feels completely amazing. It's easy to think the students love me when I see them everyday and they always have a smile on their faces, but seeing it in writing from a parent? Awesome. I really can do this teaching thing...leaving my first real students is another thing...
