(no subject)
It's probably about time I took, er, an indefinite hiatus* from this LJ malarkey.
Much as I've met some incredible people on here over the past three years, and much as I've been so lucky as to be reunited with friends I had all but lost touch with prior to hooking up again on here (kathleenalice, gingeress, I'm looking at you!), and much as all your entries have provided me with some utterly fantastic reading material, it's fairly obvious that my own LJ has been looking pretty neglected for some while. More importantly, I always seem to spend lots of time whingeing about needing to catch up with those people or do all those things I keep meaning to, but very little time actually making an effort to do them.
I won't be deleting my journal, as there have been numerous occasions in which the advice within communities on here has been absolutely invaluable, so I'd like to think I can always return to them should need be. I would, though, recommend you take the opportunity to unfriend me here, as I doubt I'll be returning to posting in my own journal-or on anyone else's-for the time being.
This being me, of course, I haven't disappeared from the internet altogether. It would seem that I have been well and truly got by the Evil Capitalist Forces of myspace and facebook, so any of y'all are more than welcome to friend me on either, it being far easier to keep up to date with people that way. Otherwise, should you be desperately interested in knowing what's going on with me, I'm at pieupinthesky@gmail.com, or on msn at all_thatglitters@hotmail.com.

*Yes, I am aware of how much of a spineless wimpy cop-out excuse for an excuse that phrase is, but it's been working for me for nigh on twenty three years and I see no need to stop now.
