A couple of weeks ago, the shelter where I volunteer had an adoptathon in which we waived the adoption fee for all adult cats. It was a weekend event, Saturday and Sunday. I was in the program for almost two years, but when I moved to Boston, I realized that it was the people in Burlington AA, more than the program itself, that was helping me stay sober.
