this is a nice exploration of Dean, of his doubts and fears... I dare hope they'll have him have a bit of flashbacks of Hell, at least, and I agree that he'll do everything to never go back.

Thanks, sweetie! I think the flashbacks are going to hit him when it's least convenient... They hinted at it once and that was it. Although I'm also wondering...since they were before Castiel...that maybe he's suppressing them somehow? Or maybe the flickers we saw were his memories fading and it just all went away, like a dream. *shrug* Glad you liked this!

This is such a great peak into Dean's psyche in that aftermath of his meeting with Castiel. I liked your thoughts on Dean remembering Sam as a heavy sleeper and his doubts over whether that - and what else - might have changed.

I think in the show we've only barely scraped the surface. I am, admittedly, surprised that he was sleeping in the last episode. Although that might've been a physical exhaustion thing. But they'd made a point with Sam's lack of sleep after Jess died and I'd think Dean would have trouble after getting out of Hell... Thanks for reading, babe!

I hadn't really thought of Joan of Arc but yeah... the idea of following in her footsteps is pretty terrifying. And after Hell, I can totally see Dean being willing to be a soldier in someone else's army so long as he didn't have to go back. Great story!
