our frenchies
they're gone!
they've all gone!
claire and anne left on sunday, and axel left awhile ago, not sure when, and thomas and alex and benji and ronan are all leaving sometime soon, but we're not going to see them again before they leave. mandy's still here, but this might be her last day at school, and then we won't see her again.
so it's sad.
we had so many at one stage, and now...none.
they showed us some frenchie dancing. we laughed. I don't think they cared that much. they were just happy to dance for us.
and mandy thought slippery dip was spelt sleepery dip.
oh so funny.
and when claire came into the classroom in her netball uniform ronan goes ooh la la.
like they actually say that in france.
ah.
I miss the frenchies.
except apparently frenchie means condom.
cos I came home from school one day and said to mum: 'we have FRENCHIES!!!'
and she said: 'you have WHAT?'
and I said: 'french exchange students.'
and she said: 'oh. you know what a frenchie is don't you?'
and I said: 'someone from france.'
and she said: 'condom'.
doesn't make much sense to me but she seemed to think that's what they are.
but I still call the frenchies frenchies. cos that's what they are, they are frenchies. what else would they be?
