It's amazing how time flies. Time just seems to go by so fast. Six years ago, I wasn't even acting. Not really. I was a dancer. I'd been training as a ballet dancer for most of my youth. Back in Australia, I had actually received some recognition for my dancing. Then somehow I ended up acting. My first role of any great importance was on Beastmaster, Curupira. She was the demon responsible for giving the main character, Dar, his powers over the animals.
Yesterday, I was sitting in my apartment. I had just gotten back from the set, and I was flipping through the stations on my satellite. I ended up passing by sci-fi's airing of Beastmaster. I knew some of episodes were airing soon, so I stopped to watch and see if it was one of the ones that I was in, and it was. It was actually the first episode I did on the show. I didn't recognize myself. I sat there and watched. I knew it was me, but it was weird because that was oh so very long ago. You can even hear a tinge of my accent there. I think for Claire my accent is more pronounced.
Speaking of my newest alter ego, ten million viewers tuned in and watched on Saturday night for the reairing of the complete pilot. For a show that had already aired and for it being a Saturday night, that is amazing turn out. Tomorrow night will be the true test. This isn't the pilot anymore. The pilot had been leaked out in some form months ago. Although there were some changes in the final pilot aired on ABC, most of the fans had already seen it.
Also, before I go, today the second season of Roswell is out on DVD. So those that missed seeing me steal Max from Liz the first time around, you can go out and buy the DVD.
