Shopping, Reflexolgy, Winter and Books

Yesterday I order soap flakes from an online store. They are supposed to be good for people with vulvodynia for laundry soap. Not sure how it's going to work, but it's worth a try and the bag wasn't too expensive. I also discovered that my favourite jewelry designiner...Tarina Tarantino has come out with Gothic Loli jewelery including her Pink Head line (which is Hello Kitty). I 0rdered the Gothic Hello Kitty earrings. Hopefully they will be here before Friday night, I'd really like to wear them to Lisa Loeb concert/signing.

I'm at home today because of sinus/asthma. My chest was quite noisy this morning and I decided I didn't need to be out in the rain. The winter we are having this year is a lot like the ones when had when I was in jr. high and high school. I love the rain, I just don't like being out in it when I'm sick.

Today I saw a commercial for reflexology detox foot pads. You wear them at night and they draw out the toxins in your body. A lot of people claim they are a scam, but being one who believes in alternative medicine, especially concerning some of my ailments which are lost on modern medicine, I want to give them a try. There are lavender ones on Amazon that I ordered. One testimonial claimed that she felt better when she woke up and that the lavender helped her sleep (this is a known fact), so if nothing else I will sleep well and hey, I might actually feel better in the morning (when I feel at my absolute worst).

Good news Gothic Lolis in the US!!!! TokyoPop is publishing Gothic Lolita Bible in ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO HAPPY!!!!! You can pre-order on Amazon. It will be released in February. I put in my order yesterday. I can't wait to actually sit down and READ it. I mean I love the pictures, but I can't read Japanese at all. However I am learning a lot of words and I want to take a Japanese class.

*I just finished The Sweet Far Thing in the GATB series by Libba Bray. Fantastic book where all is revealed. As I suspected the villains weren't and not all was as it appeared to be. However there is one great loss...Kartik. How I wished Gemma and Kartik would wind up together in the end, but instead he sacrificed himself for her. But I love impossible romances and they often don't end like you want. I love how each girl chose to do what they wanted. They weren't stuck in the roles that society would put them in. That part of it reminds me a lot of Dead Poet's Society.
