Podfic! "Inches and Miles," Narnia fandom! AKA "Edmund Negotiates Horizontally"
I'm not sure why, but so many of the fandoms I love and immerse myself are British.
This likely has something to do with the fact that I was raised by British expats, so television programs from the UK were just what we watched in my household. Other kids had Star Trek; I had Doctor Who. We owned all the VHS of Midsomer Murders, Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot, Cadfael, and Peter Wimsey. (Can you tell I was raised by Murder Mystery junkies?) I spent an obscene amount of my childhood watching and re-watching the BBC televised live action Narnia dramas.
However, this makes podficcing awkward. Because as much as I love these fandoms, I just don't have the "right" accent to go along with them. This can sometimes make me awkward about recording for them. But I know that for myself, accents are wonderful to listen to with podfics; they're engaging, different, interesting. And they tend to fade into the background of podfic after the first minute or two.
So today, I am being brave -- and posting a British-based fandom podfic. FOR NAAAAAARNIAAAAAA.

This is an absolutely stunning character study from Trojie. It's just... I... gaaah. Words fail me. What I love about the story is that it really shows how second nature it is for Edmund to give up part of himself for what he thinks is best; yet at the same time he is such a very practical and logical young man. It's a fabulous look at Edmund's character with some very sexy bits thrown in. Trojie is amazing. <3
Also, this story is very accessible for folk who only know the new film series. Come on in and join the party! :D

I'll be posting a podfic for "Figment" tomorrow, if anyone is fussed. I feel a bit bad for Glee fandom, as I have been kinda assaulting it lately. <.< Sorry, guys!
Also... I totally have a massive Narnia plot bunny. So hardcore. ;_; I want to write it but I have exaaaaaaaams. There would be so much porn, you guys. SO MUCH PORN.
Don't be fooled by its cute appearance; it wants me to write insanely filthy porn.
Also: GOOD GOD, livejournal is being slow lately. Anyone else noticing this? Because it's been a bit torturous even just posting this, or browsing for fics, or anything! <.<
ETA: Wow, awkward. Livejournal is SO BAD that this was refusing to post last night, and I gave up posting it anywhere else and decided to wait until morning. But it turns out it posted, half-complete, anyways? Damn you, LJ. Damn you.
