Long update, much overdue

So, I haven't posted anything of substance in, oh, a month?  Its not that there hasn't been whole heck of a lot going on, its just that (mostly) I didn't know what I wanted to say about stuff, or (some) it was really about someone else, and my involvement was periphery.  Well... here we go.  In no particular order, these are the things that have ( Read more... )

1. Change your name to Ruby. You guys sound so sweet together. :)

2. I've been listening to XTC's "Dear God" lately. Find it on youtube, it's there. It fits many other things in my life, this included. And if people wonder why I quit being a monotheist and started being a Setian? I'd rather work with a Patron who doesn't pretend to be my Daddy, taking the props for Good Things and when Bad Things happen have His clergy touch their chin meaningfully and say "God moves in Mysterious Ways." That's as ranty as I should get - because as you say, it sucks.

3. W000t! School rocks. Can't wait to get back there myself. You go (and dig things up) girl!

4. Hurray for Moms who are getting better! And just in general, Hurray for Moms!

5. RATTIES! Wish you could bring 'em to work. Cuddly things. We used to raise 'em. If you can sekritely seduce one of the ferals to mate with one of yours, that would rock. The ferals around here are not mean, are smart and darned near friendly if they get to know you. The one who hung out in and around our bedroom for a year got to know us and even seemed to like us.

6. Typhonia. Definitely.

7. I need to start running again. Envy! Enjoy your workouts.

8. Only that you are awesome and I always love hearing you say hello at work. Utterly neat seeing you today!

I love getting to chat with you too!
I'll be honest, I'm not sure what you mean by typhonia. Care to elaborate?
As for #2, this is exactly why I don't participate in religion anymore - it just doesn't work for me.

Saturns are girls. I drive one too. Definitely female.

Typhon is the analogue of Saturn (Greek? Roman? I get them mixed up more than I should). They are both seen as negative, some feel (if I remember this right) darker gods.

Since it's already a Saturn, and it's a girl, Typhonia. :) Or, something else. It's a suggestion, that's all. Either that or Rosie - as in, Ring Around The... Rings. Saturn. Get it? ;)

lol AH HA! I get it now :) We actually named my mom's Saturn Dione, after the moon and the Titan, so it definately fits!
(Saturns *are* girls, absolutely. Every single one I've encountered)
