Yesterday was quite successful. I went to see Brian Fagan's lecture, which was wonderful. Alex was able to drive in to see him with me. In addition to the parts on cultural tourism and global warming, he told an elephant fart joke. He also sat down next to me before the lecture and asked if I wanted him to sign my book, then chatted for a couple minutes while he did so. He's a really neat guy, and was a little star struck about his visit to The Daily Show, which someone asked about during the Q & A section. I can't blame him, especially since I was a little star struck to meet him. I apparently turned bright red the moment he spoke to me.
Then I talked Alex into coming to game with me, which she didn't run away from screaming! She's played D&D before, so she was more prepared for LARP than I expected, and she might even come back. Maybe, we'll see.
I've also decided to make gumbo for angstgiving this year. YUM.
