Is this thing on?
Whoa it's really been a long time since I posted! But although I haven't written much, I've still been reading all my friends' updates almost every day. Good stuff :)
So what's up with me? Well you know my New Years Resolution right? 'Meer Actie!' ('More Action!). Well I've certainly been busy this year... So far, this is what's happened:
* My wrist finally healed completely! Well I'm still a little afraid carrying heavy things, but at least I'm not in pain all the time like I used to be.
* I bought a house! A onebedroom benedenwoning (downstairshouse?? I think it's untranslateable) with a nice garden in a quiet neighbourhood. It was very cheap, thanks to some advice from my dad and the financial advisor. I've never slept better, it's so quiet here! The garden's great too, just think: next summer I'll just turn my tv outwards, carry my couch outside and we'll barbeque while watching the European Championship... Greatness!
* I got promoted! This just happened recently, like 2 weeks ago. My manager sat me down and told me I was going to be an assistant shopmanager from now on. Which meant: more responsibilities, more leadership and more money ;) I'm still learning, they won't let me run the store all alone yet (thank goodness!), but it's been great so far and this means I get to learn a whole lot more!
And last but not least: I've stumbled across a great guy! We've been dating for almost two months now, and it's been excellent! We actually met at work, he asked me about a Casablanca poster and how to frame it. Cut to me rambling on about Imdb.com and other geeky stuff. We didn't really flirt then but he told one of his friends he wanted to marry this girl at the Expo. That friend happened to be an a sort of friend of mine, and he told me on Hyves that this guy wanted to marry me. Way to get my attention... So we went on a date and it's been good ever since!
So all in all, it's been a great year so far!
