a day in the life

omgomgomg Fountains of Wayne's 2-disc album Out-of-State Plates.  omgomglove.  I might do a music upload sometime in the near future, b/c it's that good.  lovelovelove.  love. [Edit2:] okay, fine, the album isn't new.  it's from June 28, 2005.  but it's still amazing...it makes you want to dance like Renee Zellweger in Empire Records

[Edit:] so while I was going to my car to reinsert money into the meter a random man jogged by (age: 20's?) and, pointing at the building I had just exited (the Psychology Building, that is) asked, is there a restroom in there?  nodding yes, I directed him toward the restrooms and then turned away, thinking perhaps he was a jogger type from the area.

okay, and then when I come back, he is sitting on the bench inside next to the restrooms and asks to borrow my cellphone.  rapidly assessing the situation, I decided that there was no harm since there were people in the building all around and so I would be unlikely to get raped.  so I fork over my cell, and he strikes up a chat.  and by a chat I mean he started asking questions like, how old are you, are you a student here, I once dated a Chinese girl, etcetc.  trying to give the most marginal, noncomittal answers ever, I ask him likewise, who are you, why do you need my cell phone.  allegedly he is a student here studying "law" and takes a class in the Mallkinrodt Center (i.e. Edison Theatre, where there are primarily acting classes), and needed a phone "urgently" to call his "ride".  so I am just a little freaked out.  and, even though my phone has two bars, he "got no signal"...normally I would offer to take them outside somewhere so they could try, but I am panicking and he is smiling and I feel the whole murder mystery creepiness inching over me so I just kind of shrugged and apologized.  luckily at that time Becky (a coworker) and Chris (another coworker) came down the stairs at that point, giving me a chance to flee.  (I will here venture to call Christopher my knight, though of course he had no idea of the situation as just wanted to leave early...but were I being assulted, I'm sure he would have immediately jumped in to save me).  and now I am upstairs once more, everyone having left but nervous to leave myself in case he is still down there, "waiting for his ride".  and my question is, is he actually a random pervert, or am I just overly paranoid?

creepy pervert, fountains of wayne
