It's official
I have now reached the epitome of nerd-dom. I just stood in line to buy Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Not only that, but I was at the Barnes & Noble at 11. I avoided the wand making (with large straws, glitter and feathers) and "have your picture taken with Harry" booths. I was able to get out of the store at 12:15, but this was due to the fact that I showed up at the B&N at 6pm to get a wristband. Yes, they have VISA bands for a BOOK. The bands were to start to be given out at 6 on the dot, by the time I got there, at 5:45, the line was already 100 people deep (I know, because my band was number 112). The way the thing worked was at 11:45 the first fifty wristband numbers were called, then the next group of fifty, etc. Think of the boarding procedure for Southwest Airlines.
Anyways, to make my nerdiness complete, I am going to stay up as long as possible and read as much as I can before I pass out tonight.
