MY TEXTBOOK CAME IN THE MAIL! I'M NOW OFFICIALLY A STUDENT!
I just had to run to the dollar store to get index cards and notebooks. Haven't had to do that for YEARS. I LOVE IT. This course, medical terminology, is basically all memorization of terms. Therefore, there will be tons of flash cards and writing. My kind of thing, actually.
I'm hoping against hope that we'll have enough money for me to drive to Austin this weekend. My friend, Megan, is having her baby shower on Saturday. All of my friends will be there and I really REALLY want to go. However, we're seriously strapped for cash, and it'll probably cost about $100 to get me there and back and fed on the way. This sucks. I'm just praying that I can go. I miss my friends. I also worked my ass off knitting baby blankets for both Megan and Marianne (another friend who's also having a baby and hosting this shower for Megan). I kind of want to be able to deliver them in person so that I can see the reaction on their faces when they see the work.
*sigh*
And, since I'm hopefully going to be in Austin this weekend, I have to do all of my school work prior to Friday so I don't have to worry about it. Lots to do, but all enjoyable.
