I saw my GP, Dr. Hall, on Wednesday. (He's the best GP I've ever had. He's smart, kind, and doesn't mind the fact that I always bring in a list of things I need him to order test- or referral-wise, and isn't bothered that I know a hell of a lot about medicine.) I've been in more pain lately than normal and have been taking a metric ton (tonne?) of Advil just to keep my joints working. So I found a more powerful NSAID called indomethacin that I thought would be a good idea to try, since it's just 2 pills a day instead of four pills every 8 hours with the Advil. However, in order to switch, I've had to go cold-turkey from the Advil while the indomethacin builds up in my system. I've now been without Advil for 24 hours and hurt so much OMG what did I do??! I'm just telling myself over and over again that I will be feeling a lot better once the new med kicks in. That mantra isn't helping that much while my hands and head hurt so fucking much right now. Ugh.
I've warned my friends on Facebook that I will be complaining more than normal (I actually complain a fair bit) while I'm going through this.
I'll feel better when this is over. I'll feel better when this is over. I'll feel better when this is over. Nope, not really helping. Shit.
