I've slept all day. Slept almost 12 hours solid. I think I know why. I tried to increase my Inderal (beta-blocker that lowers blood pressure) by just a smidge in order to help my headaches - the thinking is that if you lower your blood pressure, you help prevent migraines caused by inflamed blood vessels - like, I went from 5mg to 7.5mg. Not a lot at all. But, with the lower blood pressure comes fatigue. Which, I think, is why I've been mainly unconscious the last couple of days. I guess I'm dropping back down to the 5mg that sorta works, then.
O.M.G. There's a new attack ad from Rick Perry's campaign (Republican incumbent Texas Gov who's been in office since GWB left to go to the White House). This widow of a Houston police officer who was killed by a previously deported illegal immigrant talks about how, when Bill White (the Democratic gubernatorial candidate) was mayor of Houston, he made Houston a "sanctuary city" and didn't support deportation or tracking of illegal immigrants. This, to me, is absurd. 1) Houston ISN'T a sanctuary city. You live here illegally, you get picked up on a criminal charge, you get deported. 2) Bill White tried to start a policy that allowed for suspects' IDs and fingerprints to be checked when picked up. 3) Why not blame PERRY for not securing our border well enough that the bastard who had been deported previously couldn't get back in? I really hope that shameless tricks like this finally push Perry out of office. [/politics]
