I know it's been a while...

I really hate when I'm writing a post and for some reason my computer switches my page to something else (like I hit the backspace button outside the text box or something) and thus erase my whole post, which is always really long. So let me sum up:

Mom took a week and a half off a week ago and spent the entire time cleaning and unpacking all of the boxes we never got around to unpacking after our move into the house a couple of years ago. The house seems a lot more settled.

She also cleaned my room (basically, I asked for her assistance and, as usual, she just took over the job and kicked me out of the room). However, I have been good thus far in putting trash away into the can and not just discard it anywhere. I even took the bag to the curb last night because it was full - and it was 3 am. I then did the same to the full trash can in the kitchen. I rock.

I've been really lax about spending time in front of the computer recently. That tends to be a signal to me that I'm depressed, but I'm not really showing any other symptoms, so it's weird. And, mainly, it's facebook I'm not liking... I have a bunch of friends and family online and none ever seem to reply to my posts.... I know it's my own neurosis that is causing me to feel unliked, but it's the case. However, I'm reading all of LJ when on. So, I care more about you guys than my family right now.

Cole and Andy, now that they aren't taking care of Max, have basically moved into my room and are taking care of me. Andrew has taken up the position he had as a kitten by curling around my head. Cat hat. He's so used to cuddling around Max that I guess curling around my head is a decent substitute. However, a 30lb cat taking up most of the pillow and putting his stinky feet in my face isn't all that great sometimes.

I'm spending a ton of time reading right now. Like, I'd rather read than anything else. I'm hooked on a new series of books, the Dark-Hunter ones. They're romance novels, which is a new genre for me. I got hooked when I read one of the newer ones that I had bought from Walgreens' 2 hardbacks for $10 sale thing (which is AWESOME).

The Astros are sucking as usual, the Braves got their asses handed to them when a pitcher (whose name I forget) from the Rockies pitched a no-hitter the other night. The last no-hitter in baseball was also against the Braves when Randy Johnson (at the time with the Diamondbacks)  pitched a perfect game in '05. My boyfriend at the time was there at that game. And he didn't even like baseball, so he had no idea what he had seen. I was so jealous that he had been there.

Good Morning America interviewed Michio Kaku about the volcano eruption in Iceland. This makes no sense to me, since he's a theoretical physicist, and deals with subatomic particles. They needed a geologist instead. *eyeroll*

I think that's about it.
