finally.
I've been feeling a lot better since I got this NEW JOB! I'm really excited to start, though I admit I'm a little overwhelmed. I was hired so late that I missed the first two days of the three-day New Teacher Orientation. I got a ton of curriculum materials and classroom management tidbits today. This evening I plan to skim through the guides and begin mapping out a semester-long lesson plan overview. Then this coming week I can get down to the day-by-day once I have the course materials in front of me.
I'm still in a little bit of a haze, though. I don't know why... everything seems to be falling into place. I'm going to call about an apartment in Catonsville in a few minutes. I'll be making more than enough to maintain that apartment and a decent lifestyle. I'll have a fun job with full benefits and I only really have to work three days per week if I want. I can sub in Baltimore or Anne Arundel County on my days off, or just sleep in and be super lazy.
I'll be leaving a lot behind. My home of twenty-two years, my job of three years, my friends who live less than three miles away. But I'll finally gain that independence I've been craving for months and months.
It should be good.
