This turned out to be a really rainy Sunday! With thunder storms and all.
My mother celebrate her birthday today and had promised to treat us with coffee and cookies. I'm a sucker for that, so I was up to it! Everything is better than watching the walls at home anyway...

We had seen some advertising about the yearly Viking Festival in Stallarholmen this weekend. So we carried the screaming son away from his computer and drove of for a few hours amongst leather clad people... Kids where totally useless today! I wanted to do something, whatsoever. The were complete unmovable, so we left them and took of for a coffee at Torekällberget. It's nice to just walk around there and watch the old buildings and reading all the signs about the history of our small city. It's still nice weather! Probably just to stop me from sitting behind my computer. I really should be sorting pictures, updating my LinkedIn page, taking care of a couple of web sites or something. I tried to read a bit, but didn't really got somewhere. No go at all... We took of and had dinner at a friends restaurant, always nice to eat sushi.

A sunny and nice day, maybe just to be different. I still don't have much to do, but a quick trip down to Trosa burnt a couple of hours. The coffee did end rather quickly unfortunately , someone discovered a tic sitting on her leg, and that meant panic-mode... I have had some worries this week... All weather forecasts since Wednesday has talked about gale and strong gale for the trip home. I hate when large ships move... Alands museum of Hunting and Fishing is our first stop for today. A rather small, and very nice museum at an old fishing village. It's a sunny day, but windy. After enjoying this small museum we had coffee at a nearby pottery. Really good doughnuts too! All this was good, but the upcoming event should really top the day! Todays visit, the sail ship Pommern!
Aland is famous (i didn't know...) for it's maritime history, especially sailing cargo ships. Pommern is one of those ships, probably one of the last one in service.
