I happened to catch the cartoon network premiere of
Batman: The Brave & the Bold earlier today just before I went out for my run. I have to say I wasn't that impressed by it.
Sure it was nice to see the new Blue Beetle get some run, but I do find a bit confusing the character design of the Green Arrow. The whole traveling to another planet via wormhole where the Blue Beetle was revered probably isn't the best episode to start off with. The one thing that really stuck out was just how OOC Batman seemed, it felt more like 60's TV Batman than what we're accustomed to these days. Also not fond of the little inner monologue they give to him either. It was like Superman was masquerading as Batman. I'm hoping later episodes change my mind as it did take awhile for me to warm up to
The Batman after all.
I hear that
another trailer for the Half-Blood Prince movie has come out and after listening to some old reports on screenings I have to say I'm a bit worried if I'm going to enjoy the movie or not. Some of the directions they are taking and have taken throughout the films have been questionable but able to be tolerated due to the overall flow of the story. Unfortunately these little changes here and there are starting to build up and I just don't know. HBP was my favorite book of all seven and I just have bad feelings that the movie just isn't going to cut it. Harry hitting on a waitress? And why has movie!Snape practically become fanon!Snape - I'm getting ready to expect to find him and Draco in some broom closet during movie 7.
Lastly, my writing is quickly returning to form. I've had a few good writing days this week and am closing in on finishing CH 2 of the next fic of mine. I'm really determined to finish a story for once so I think if I've made enough progress this weekend, I hope to post the first chapter on sunday. *crosses fingers*
