It's been a steady rain since Thursday night, and looks to continue into Monday. Totally moves everything you want to do into more indoor related activities. Which means what, you ask?
I've decided to finally start catching up on Naruto, which means watching the non-manga episodes as well because I'm a completist at heart. Sep 5, 2005 I watched episode 150, and afterwards decided to take a break. It was disheartening at the time to realize the series was going to be treated to a bunch of less intense episodes after that great Naruto vs Sasuke fight. I'm ready to get back into it now. 28 months later. (Isn't that a movie? lol XD)
I never read the manga much outside of what was in the Shonen Jump monthly magazine, which only got to around the Sandaime Hokage vs Orochimaru (hard fucking name to spell without looking) fight before my subscription stopped. But since I'm going to watch 70 or so more non-manga episodes of the series before I reach Shippuden, I figured I'd also read the manga as well. I started with volume 27, which is like chapter 234 or so, and am right now I just finished volume 31 (chapter 280). Right away I have to say, I was disappointed with the battle against Deidara but I can't wait to see how they animate the Sasori vs Sakura fight. That was so awesome.
Oh and also, I hope they do something with Kakashi Gaiden. That was such a great tale. Make it a movie or something if they haven't yet. I also wonder if we'll ever find out what happened to Rin. I imagine we will because Kishimoto seems to have everything so interweaved in this world.
Lastly, but certainly not least, I'd like to wish a very Happy Birthday to
sandoz_iscariot! I think I will end up having to live my continuity Spidey musings vicariously through you if continue on with BND. =P
