Chuck 3.04 "vs Operation Awesome"

Jan 18, 2010 21:36

After last week's stunning cliffhanger, I was eagerly awaiting tonight's episode. Also something I didn't mention last week and proved true again tonight, they seem to be making a conscious effort to include some variation of "don't freak out" in the dialogue this season and I don't mind that one bit. :)

  • Morgan & Big Mike. It looks like whatever tension/betrayal that might have existed after Morgan unknowingly participated in Big Mike's ouster last season has been ignored and we are seeing a bond relationship developing between the two, especially now that Morgan is the assistant manager of the Buy More (a position I expected him to get early in S2).
  • Awesome & Chuck. A brotherly relationship I've loved seeing develop from S1 where Chuck found Awesome to be annoyingly perfect, to S2 where Awesome tried to get closer to Chuck with the impending marriage to Ellie to now in S3 where Awesome is truly starting to see just what Chuck is all about and what kind of problems he has to deal with. That scene where they try to explain Devon's disappearance by blaming it on first on a Grizzly Bear/Cat and then Casey was just hilarious.
  • Shaw & the Ring. Ironically I wonder what is the deal about the ring Shaw put on at the end. Clearly the Ring is something that even the General feels is too big for just Team Chuck so I'll be interested to see what Shaw will bring to the team while he's around. I can't deny that I'm excited about Chuck's first solo mission or a confrontation with Shaw that seems inevitable. You know there were a few times (even though this thought is highly implausible) that when Shaw's identity was in question that I expected him to tell Chuck he was Chuck from the future. Ridiculous I know, but it popped into my head. XD
I need to find some Chuck icons I think. I ♥ this show.
