What a day! What a day!
The sun came out. The temperature rose. I feel fantastic.
I rode Eleanor O to my haircut appointment, across town through some groovy neighborhoods. I passed a trio of Portland hipsters just getting ready to set out on their bikes, and we exchanged a good morning. They said, "Nice bike!" as I rode by, and when I was past, one of them started singing the Wicked Witch of the West theme--which...okay, I'll assume it was good natured...so I said over my shoulder, "Yeah, that's my ringtone."
Got a good haircut. It's amazing how much product one-inch long hair will take. Seriously. I'm starting to understand Dean Winchester on a follicular level.

Did some errands on the way home, including a stop at a nursery. I have nine hanging pots around the beam of my porch that need filling with colorful annuals, and I was wondering how I was going to get nine x whatever mix of flowers home. I thought, hm...bike trailer? Have to use a Zip Car? Then it dawned on me: multiple trips!

(Note my new cupholder there on the handlebars. That is the kind of bike-riding I do.)
That's two pots right there. Next trip: I can fit four in the front basket and probably three in the back, and voilà! Nine porch pots. Plus neighborhood ride.
Laundry's on the line and drying fast. My sister's honeybees are buzzing. I'm heading back out now for seven more sets of flowers. Man, *these are the good old days.
