Claudia listened to Heather's long and agonised scream, before looking back down at her. It seemed unfair somehow that her friend should be in such pain during the birth - she had endured suffering enough to nurture God, why should it continue now?

After arranging a chair to be positioned over the hole in the room's floor, Claudia walked over to the young girl and picked her up, felt her thrash against the touch. "Alessa, don't waste your strength fighting. I want to help you. If you relax, you might survive the birth."

Heather spat on Claudia's dress, the blood-tinged saliva barely showing up on the dark clothing. Claudia seemed to be devoid of colour from head to toe, black on black on white on white... the delirium was consuming as she was dragged across the room, the light pain of her feet scratching on the floor being a delightful distraction from the razor-slashed walls of her womb. Whatever was in her was trying to tear her up from the womb outwards and her screams were as much from fear of the thing inside her as from the actual pain.

"Relax," Claudia repeated, taking her knife out once more and using it to cut through Heather's clothing. She pulled the bloody scraps from the young girl, casting them down the hole beneath the chair, to be accompanied later by the afterbirth. And possibly by Heather's body, she could not be certain of that yet. "It'll all be over soon."

Heather didn't know whether she wanted to concentrate on sobbing or screaming as she felt the blood that had been writhing through her skin start ebbing out of her, black and thick and angry. "Bitch," She cried at Claudia's face when it came into her view, albeit upside down. Claudia was standing behind the chair, then. "You fucking bitch." The words seemed weak and useless somehow, but shock was running through her systems and rendering them by turns oversensitive or numb.

Claudia shook her head, leaning forward to place a gentle kiss on Heather's forehead as she swept aside sweat-soaked hair that had started to look a little more like its original colour with the dark stains upon it. "Just keep breathing. You're very lucky," She murmured as she rubbed Heather's shoulders, wishing she had some vaseline handy for her friend's lips as they started to look cracked from dehydration. "If you were giving birth to a human, you would have to push. God finds his own way out." Reaching down further, cupping soft breasts. "I suppose these hurt too?" She mused, pushing her thumbs into the pliant flesh.

"And you care?" Heather hissed before throwing her head back and screaming the loudest she had so far. Whatever was in her had started crawling down.

"Of course I do," Claudia replied with a smile, leaning down and resting her cheek on Heather's head. "Alessa, I have always cared for you. Why else would I let you do this? When you die, you will go to heaven, but I will be cast into hell for my sins. You and everyone else who is worthy will be saved." She sighed, massaging one of Heather's breasts lightly. "I've loved you since I realised what love was."

"If you love me," Heather coughed out past bloodied lips. "Why don't you kill me now?"

"Alessa..." Claudia began, tracing her free hand down across Heather's pulsing abdomen to feel the swollen, taut skin. "God will do that for you." Down further, over more bloodied hair, brushing away some of the slimy gore lubricating all of the young girl's thighs. A long, thin digit reached out and linked around Claudia's finger, trying to grip onto something as the being behind it tried to pull itself out through the walls of flesh blocking its way.

"Please kill me," Heather sobbed, her body starting to slip down the chair as it lost all ability to grip. If an army of those huge, blubbery freaks she had seen earlier in her travels had come running at her, she wouldn't have been able to twitch.

Claudia shook her head once more, reaching her other hand down to help part Heather's thighs and at the same time keep the young girl from sliding straight down into the abyss beneath her. "Not when you can live forever."

Another digit slid out, and Heather's eyes glazed over as she passed out.

Claudia looked down at the shape beginning to unfold from between Heather's legs and smiled down at its shrieking, blind head. "Welcome to the world my love," She said with damp eyes before seizing up as electricity shot through Heather's body and into her own.

Heather opened her eyes to a sea of white and smiling faces, realised there was no pain or tension in her body at all as she looked around. No. There was a face... that...

"Dad?"

Harry nodded mutely before gesturing for his daughter to look to her side.

Heather took in her God, and screamed and screamed.

Claudia smiled at the flames that caressed her face.
