Hope everyone had a lovely holidays. I'm trying to catch up with some backlogged blogging, but ehhh you know how it goes.

My holidays were quite lovely--my Mom, once more, tried to outdo the witch from Hansel & Grettle by fatting me like a pig about ready to go to market. It was nice to see my brother Mick for a little while--I'm so proud that he's a teacher. He's changed noticeably.

Bill and I had a nice time being away from the stress of our home... it's been in a fairly pigsty-ish state. It was nice to go to bed together, rather than the usual routine (I go to bed, he stays up to play xbox, I wake up around 3am, find him passed out, and try to convince a sleep-talking Bill to go to bed).

Lots of things coming up in these few weeks--a wee trip to Seattle to see pixelfool (and perhaps svidrigailov if my cards play out well). After I return, my Mom will be in town, and we'll go for the wedding dress thing. Then, Bill's Mom will be up in Saratoga with friends (just in time for my birthday)... then I start my internship at the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, start my last semester at grad school... and then life will get quiet for a bit.

So, I was spoiled quite a bit--Bill got me a spiffy new laptop for Christmas/Saturnalia/the holiday. It's way cooler than what we've been using... I type on it as we speak!

I hope I may have more interesting things to say in the coming months rather than recounting my day/week/what have you. I realized that last semester, I had a lot of interesting topics that were floating around in my head that I never wrote down. It's a shame, really, and my fault completely. Maybe that's my New Year's resolution...?
