I did write for Yuletide this year! Albert Nobbs is a in many ways lovely period film, with both Glenn Close and Janet McTeer in drag, and queerness in spades. Sadly it has a (predictably) deeply frustrating ending; I loved it anyway, but approach with caution re depressing endings to queer stories.

Usually I smile and move on, because most of the time the one saying it is an older dancer who means well (and who find the fact that I lead a little amusing but mostly impressive.)
