Meme: phrases from WIPs

May 27, 2009 19:23

Because I have many more important things to be doing: here's a meme. One phrase from each of my works in progress.

Things I'm currently writing (Merlin)
Crépuscule: He also knows that it’ll happen anyway - that he decided it the moment he left his father alone in the flat to pull Merlin into a crushing kiss on the sidewalk, and yet it feels like a decision taken a lifetime ago, already written in bold letters, unquestionable.

Shakespearean heroine!Merlin 'verse: She’ll dream of that moment for years to come - the look on Arthur’s face that she refused to see.

My actual first Merlin fic: Morgana does not need forgiveness, she needs comfort and sleep, and Gwen needs the world to stop unravelling around her.

The old & unfinished (HP)

On Dumbledore's sister: In some of her sleep-pictures she’s running outside and it’s bright bright, all blinding colours, not like when mother takes her out now.

A Hannah/Susan: The first day everyone feels false, suddenly unknown, and she can’t tell how the time apart really has changed them.

Luna (written back in 2005, oh nostalgia): Daddy’s opinion of exciting normally meant finding out things like Fudge’s terrible habits regarding goblins.

Finally a phrase from my big original fiction project aka the novel:
Hon springer snubblar halkar över sanden och snäckskalen och tvärstannar när mannen varsamt lägger ner Ebbe där vågorna inte nått och stirrar på henne med knappt återhållet ursinne i blicken.

= She runs stumbles slides across the sand and the sea shells and stops short when the man carefully lays Ebbe down where the waves haven't reached and stares at her with barely restrained fury in his gaze.

Consider yourself tagged if you're in the mood.
