How long have you been looking? If you've just started, don't lower your expectations yet. Give it a little time. Are there any courses you could take to make yourself more marketable? Is the job market bad at the moment or is the "gap" in employment a problem? Maybe you should try a better agency. That little bitch who interviewed you wasn't fit to shine your shoes!

Once you've had a job for a long time, it can be difficult to find anything that matches up - but it can be done. I'm a firm believer that if you're good at what you do, the opportunity will come - eventually. My husband was laid off from his job of 15+ years a couple of years ago. He got another job right away, but hated the place - it was a real sweatshop. This year he got a much better job - and it's right near our house! Of course, that means he's home a lot more. Can't have everything. LOL!

If you need a reference, you can always list the Grumpy Ho's on your resume. And don't forget to mention your membership in Mikeyisamonkey. That'll impress the hell out of prospective employers.

I’m just feeling sorry for myself. I’m sure I’ll find some job, but it’s so hard cause I loved my last job and would still be doing it if we hadn’t moved.
There is a college here, if I need some upgrading but the job I did just doesn’t exist in a small community. I developed processes and reporting systems for a bank. I also co-ordinated annual budgets for 17 branches. There isn’t a banking system big enough here to utilize what I do.
