27th of January - Holocaust Memorial Day
It's not always fun and games here at Jackson Celebrates; and not every holiday is a celebration. Today is Holocaust Memorial Day and I do not think I can fully encapsulate the horror of Nazi Germany and the 'ethnic cleansing' that took place. After reading this I recommend you take some time to properly research the Holocaust, or at least have a deeper look. Most of us have a hazy concept of what went on, but it is only when you really look into it that you begin to understand the absolute horror that, not only those of Jewish fait, but also many other ethnic minorities, homosexuals, and people with disabilities (sometimes simply the blind) had to suffer through.
