Hello y'all. I'm posting to let you know that January 21st, or World Hugging Day, was indeed celebrated, although not by me.
During my little hiatus, my friends: Max, Wills, and John informed me that they would celebrate World Hugging Day in my honor, as they did for many of the other celebrations occurring at this time. I happily agreed, and even made a facebook page and invited a vast quantity of people (ok, well 16) to go into the city and hug as many people as possible. Imagine my surprise when upon looking for that particular post I found nothing. I questioned my friends and their answers were vague, I do not know what happened on that day, here is what I have gathered:
John left for the city on a bike. John lives in Lower Plenty and so why he chose this form of transport is a mystery, however, against all common sense he did. This was the first mystery of what was to be a day shrouded in espionage and secrets (well not espionage, because none of them are spies. That I know of... actually come to think of it, were one of them a spy I wouldn't suspect it would I, because they'd be a spy. Duuude.).
Max and Wills took the train. This is far more sensible than a bike, however I have only heard of what happened from Max, and he has not mentioned Wills presence or actions once, although I am sure Wills accompanied Max on his venture. What was going on? Did the same brain vapor that caused John to choose a bike instead of the train infect Max and cause him to forget Wills even existed for that particular day. Something altogether uncanny was happening...
The third and perhaps largest mystery is what happened to the 16 people who had ticked the 'Attending Box'. None of them, and I mean none of them came to the city, what happened. That's 16 people! 16 people don't just disappear! What sinister lovecraftian (and I fail to see how it could be anything else) plot had brainwashed my two friends and stolen their entourage of huggers? I shudder to think.
I fear to question my friends further, lest I bring on some form of madness.
nevertheless, Happy National Hugging Day for a while back.
