dear children,

and i must address the children in the elementary and the high schools because this applies to all of you.

why do you try to grow up so fast? you're children for only a certain time (which i consider any age until 16), and it's such an amazing time where you have no responsibility and you can just be tiny little people who aren't important but aren't afraid and don't have any worries. but yet you try to have sex. you try to fool around and you try to play mind games and you try to be those adults who have already fucked up their lives and wish they were you. and wish they hadn't made the mistakes you want to make.

so why do it?

why won't you be children and embrace your immaturity rather than pretending to be something you cannot possibly be? it just makes you seem arrogant and frustrating to us people who are just on that iceburg where we haven't quite left you but yet we already have and we're just waiting for the ship to come by and pick us up before we freeze. and then we see you, little tiny penguins, and we wonder - what is wrong with you? we may play with you and act like you're one of us or one of the passengers, but really - we're just using you for our amusement.

so why fool yourselves into thinking that you're waiting for that ship?

sincerely,
a concerned seal
