spring in your step

Beautiful morning, beautiful afternoon, beautiful day to be outside.
Spent the majority of the day at school, a good portion of my time outside.
Went for a short hike on the trails with my friend and then he and I sat by the lake and did some work.
Finally, my thesis loves me back. A bit closer. I cannot wait until I finish print it and have it bound together. Never have I written so much. What will I do after this is finished? Maybe I can write a book or something.

On the bus:
It is surprisingly a full bus of commuters for such a nice day.

Baby girl with chewable cheeks, bubble-gum lips, she giggles. She sits in her stroller, hugging her mom's knees. Her slightly older sister squishes her baby sister's cheeks together like marshmallows between graham crackers.

Man with cap. Pocked-face. Big-eyed. We smile. His friend hops on board at a stop. She sits next to him. She greets him, and talks with her hands. He talks with his hands. Mostly directions. Later, another woman hops on board, her jovial, boisterous chatter with the bus-driver is endearing. Mr. Bus-driver informs us of forecasted snow for the weekend. Man with cap looks at his friend, his friend looks at me. We all smile. Half-dread and half in grief. Man with cap motions with his index finger in a circular motion like a tornado, "LOCO". Let's hope we do not get any snow.
