always a bridesmaid....
well, looks like saraheeyore will be acquiring lots of dresses with butt bows:

and, now for an actual update:
New York is good, although hectic. Last week I wasn't in my summer school placement because I was at a design institute with my high school (for the fall), but I was back in 7th grade today. I don't call them "the little devils" for nothing. however, the students are only made worse by the teacher I am working with -- today he actually LAUGHED (along with the other students) at a student who gave the wrong answer (who I think is probably special ed or LD or something). seriously, could that be any more wrong??? on the other hand, classes are going pretty well -- I'm still really happy with my classmates for the most part. my FA drives me crazy more often than not, but at least it's only 2 hours a day -- it's just frustrating to end the day on such a negative note. I hate coming home so defeated every day.
This past weekend in Boston was fun -- it was great to be able to say goodbye to Laura before she flees to the desert. Got to see Abby (the old roommate) and Janie and Chris, up from DC. Got my haircut, and a pedicure. Oh, and went shopping at the Pru. I do miss Boston sometimes, but I think I'm glad I don't live there anymore.
Mom is coming next Sunday to visit for the day, and I'm hoping to have some other visitors in August -- it's amazing how many of my friends have never really spent time in New York, some of whom have never been here at all.
