Starting a New Fanfiction
Well, considering I haven't signed on here in... God only knows how long... I decided I might as well chat a bit about a fanfiction I have started and see what people think (if anyone cares to read this in the first place).
So, the fanfiction will be for One Piece, and the idea was sparked by a fanart I found on Deviantart. Search 'shipwrecked Marco' and you'll probably find it.
The basic idea is that Marco (First Division Commander of Whitebeard's Crew) starts the story off by trying to escape from the Marines with his crew in the midst of a storm from hell. Long story short, he gets knocked unconscious, drifts off to sea (on a large piece of driftwood so he doesn't sink like a rock in the ocean) and is found on a relatively remote island in the Grand Line known as Lacrime. He is found by a young woman who lives on the island and she takes him in. When he awakes, Marco discovers that he cannot remember years of his life. He has no recollection of being a pirate whatsoever.
As the story progresses, Marco has to try to uncover his missing memories while he is bonding with this young woman. She becomes something of a younger sister to him. All the while, there is a character in the story who is trying to bring harm upon the woman and (by extension) Marco, so he must fight against that as well.
I know I suck at describing things like this, but I promise it is much more interesting when written. I've been trying to add a bit of mystery in this, and have also been able to use a foreign language in this (which I'm pretty pumped about because I was able to use it in a logical manner).
So, yeah... that's about it. lol. If anyone's actually reading this, let me know what you think overall.
