I managed to go see
Death at a Funeral today and I really loved it.
It is a very dark British comedy with a lot of very low brow elements, and Alan Tudyk really is a stand out in it!
I have found in some
reviews that Alan Tudyk is not remembered in spite of his memorable co-starring performance in
28 Days with Sandra Bullock, or his wonderful performance as Wash in
Serenity, or even in
Knocked Up which only opened a couple of months ago.
Hopefully he’ll be noticed more in
3:10 to Yuma, because that will be a major motion picture, unlike this one which is definitely a smaller independent film.
I got to meet Alan Tudyk last December at the Backup Bash, and he is a sweetheart.
(he was filming 3:10 to Yuma in Mexico and had the facial hair for that)
He really is versatile and talented, and I would like to see him become a big star, of course I want all my BDHs to become big stars!
