Life is pretty good...(Knock wood)
Birka seemingly went well, despite the weather keeping some folks home, and my hotel room
causing some allergy/dryness issues for me. People seemed very appreciative of my efforts.
I had Sunday and Monday to recover, because I have been at the same workplace for MANY
years and now have more vacation time than I can reasonably use. So tonight will be my first day
back to work after it. (Thank heavens I missed out on driving in Yesterday's blizzard. Such
fortuitous timing :) )
Shawbane could not attend, as he stayed home with the dogs for part of the time, and
worked at his newest iteration of "job" for the rest. He got a call out of the blue from the brand
new taco place that opened up across the street on the morning that they opened (about a week ago) to
ask if he could work for them. (the place is in "Ming Du's" old spot.) They seem to be doing well,
and their prices, food and business model seem appropriate to the area. He seems pretty happy with
it. His previous jobs were cool about letting him go, particularly since the holiday rush was over.
Trinitysong andChimeramwe did much better than they expected with their
hairdressing experiment.

They were able to buy the family a Really Nice vanity box from the woodstuffs merchant next door
with proceeds.
