Day 2: Fandom Me #2 and assorted blather
Got Bad News in the mail yesterday. /le sigh
Tweaked yesterday's post, correcting a few errors and adding images. I've decided to add RL peeps into the mix--there were/are folks that have definitely shaped Fandom Me.
I think I'll keep trying to list things in chronological order, but eh, I'll probably mess that up. So, if it's out of order, so's my brain, so that fits.
So, Day 2:
#2 Artemus Gordon of the Wild, Wild West (character/tv show 1965 - 1969)
Ross Martin played Artemus Gordon on The Wild, Wild West. He wasn't the hunky tough-guy romantic lead. He was super smart, inventive and a master of disguise. I think he's where I get my love of Brainiacs and gadgets.
I loved the opening of this show and how for each commercial break they would freeze a frame, 'cartoon' it and then fade out. Kid!me was awed by this, lol. And who couldn't love Dr. Loveless, the evil villain played by Michael Dunn. He was awesome! While looking for images for this post, I read that ultimately it was violence that got WWW cancelled. Ah, probably another reason I loved the show and Artemus!
