I suck
Yes...I haven't updated in forever. Life is just busy, but at the same life is just great for the most part. My grandmother's boyfriend died four days before Christmas, so dealing with her depression and loss has been difficult. Tom, her boyfriend, was wonderful for her during a time of change in her life (losing the car, moving to a retirement community), but at the same time, he inadvertently kept her getting involved with her new community. Christmas, despite all this, was the best in years. I'm dead broke even though I had a pretty tight budget. I guess I just love my momma too much! I got some exciting things: a manhassett directors stand (a la Stanley Roberts), an alternative down mattress pad, a wine holder set, some fun drink glasses with stick on tags, and business cards! The real bad thing about the Christmas vacation was my technology break down. My computer crashed four times in as many days and my cell phone screen started messing up. The computer is fine now (thanks daddy!) but the phone can't be fixed. Well, it can be fixed, but I'm not paying $100 for a little plastic screen. I could buy the exact same phone for that price. But I'm not gonna buy a new phone either. I get a free phone on July 3rd...hope it holds out til then.
I guess that's all for now. Classes start Wednesday but I'll probably go to campus tomorrow to set a lesson time with Stutts for a conducting lesson and go see the graduate music secretary about registering me for voice lessons since I'm locked out.
