yea, you'l definitely meet more people when you start classes - also, clubs and sports are great ways to meet people (of course I"m on the speech team here and everyone is so cool!) Is your dorm room super cute?!
yea our room is pretty cute.. we're trying to find a rug because there is a huge open space.. but its comming together- we are in a triple with just us two, so we have an extra bed (which we use as a couch) and an extra desk(which we use for a kitchen) and an extra chair which is in the way, always... haha but its cute- whenever you're in corvallis call me!! :D you can come see it!
em. i know just how you feel. i went through the exact same thing when i moved to portland. i was soooo lonely sometimes i would just cry myself to sleep. and i'd walk around campus with my head phones on and somedays i would go all day long without saying a single word to anyone. but now, i've lived here for a year and i love it. i have never been happier, and i honestly think it took about that for me to find everything here that makes me so happy. my advice to you is to just look forward to the trips you'll make to bend. be as outgoing as possible. and don't let the lonliness get to you. it's ganna be hard, but you'll get through it. and in a year from now i bet you will be a much more independant person. you will grow a ton! :) and i'm here for you too, we are closer now than we were when you lived in bend (distance wise) so call me up anytime you need me. i love ya babe.
oh katie you are so nice... i miss you :-( if i had a car i'd come visit... but for now if you are driving through corvallis for some reason?? give me a call!
I know it's hard now, I went to college completely dependent on the people I had known all my life (fam) and my high school friends who were always within just a few minutes drive...but I promise you, nearly everyone is feeling the same way as you
( ... )
P.S. Oh yeah, and write letters home when you are really lonely!!! Emailing family is good and all, but my dad gave me the best advice right before I left, "We can slip ten dollars into a card, but we can't send that through email." So basically parents can't deny a handwritten note from their lonely kids, and you're bound to get something comforting in return. :)
haha yea no kiddding- it will be freeeeezing! i did get a ticktet- i dont know if i'm going with kolby or if he even got a ticket or not so we'll see... but i'm very excited i havn'et been to one yet. so it should be fun :D
