(no subject)
today we had our garage sale. it was surprisingly relaxing, once we actually got passed setting up and getting ready and after i got upset because it seemed like I was the only person who ditched my previous plans (volunteering with ashley) to sit with mommy. It ended up kind of being a family bonding day. Until the garage sale ended.
I really racked up at the yard sale myself. First I saved a bunch of books I wanted to keep from being sold, including like two Toni Morrison books - there would have been tears. serioulsy. I cannot part with Toni. I also got my sister's lattice coat rack that she made. I have been wanting this since I first laid eyes on it years ago. I want to repaint it, but seriously, I was so happy. I'm so excited. I also got this cute tea set (also used to be my sister's), with a pot and one cup.
In other news, Lucy hurt her leg. Well, technically this leg has been hurt for awhile but today it was worse and she could barely walk. She couldn't get upstairs at all. I had to bribe her to go outside by bribing her with a walk. I brought the leash downstairs and she gave the most horrific whine. It was so sad. It was like she was saying, "I'd love to go for a walk but I can't! Please don't go without me!" But she wanted to go for a walk bad enough that she ended up limping into the yard. She just loves to be a part things, which is why she likes walks. She's like a lapdog trapped in a big dog's body as Jon pointed out. Anyway, sad day for Lucy. Hopefully she'll get better soon. we gave her children's Tylenol mixed with cottage cheese and that made her feel better.
